The MK series speakers are excellent performance and "big sound" from compact, paintable enclosures that are UV and weather resistant.

"MK" meaning Acoustic Pole is the latest addition to the POPE Professional line of public address speaker systems. The MK-10 and MK-12 is the first of many models to come from the series and the basic construction of the speaker is black plastic extruded cabinet coupled with a specially detailed steel front grille. Regardless of any harsh environment, the MK-10 and MK-12's construction can withstand temperatures of varying degree and effects of weathering are substantially reduced.

The specially detailed steel front grille is different from conventional steel grills. The design also allows for the total control of the Q-factor of the speaker through precision CNC tooling not taking high cost consideration but to get the best result. Due to the rigidity of the cabinet, cabinet resonance is further reduced enabling sound energies to be focus with greater depth and clarity.

The 'open-box' design of the speaker allows the unit to be positioned in both vertical and horizontal manner in accordance to site demands through a well-designed mounting bracket with integral mounting points. In the application of public address system, speech intelligibility takes priority. The vocal range 250 Hz-10 kHz is the minimum requirement for any speech reinforcement system. The MK-10 and MK-12 far surpass this rage with a respond of 150 Hz to 15 kHz. This provides ample head room for back ground music playback without reduction in the low and mid frequencies however, sub-sonic frequencies are not necessary for public address systems. The MK-10 utilizes 1*10 inches driver to produce this mid-low frequencies which is already difficult to come by with comparative bigger driver systems.

Comparing the current MK series with POPE Professional’s new MK-6 & MK-8 outdoor speaker series, the former vertical array dispersion characteristic and slim line design allow for the speaker to be use in different applications and sold to different market demands. The MK series offers transformer-coupled models such as the MK-6 & MK-8 that will run on both 70 V and 100 V transmission lines for long distance distributed audio applications.

Together with MK Series, POPE Professional will launch the much awaited PM Series & DC Series - constant voltage professional power amplifier which will provide a complete solution package for distributed audio or public address system.

The MK-6 utilizes 2*4 inches drivers with 1” tweeter and MK-8 utilizes 4*4 inches drivers with 3” tweeter to produce the mid-low frequencies, which is already difficult to come by with comparative bigger driver systems. The high power 4 inches drivers are acoustically coupled to provide the necessary power output and low frequencies without filters or internal cross-over networks so as to preserve efficiency of the speaker.
