The POPE Professional® FP series high quality powered (active) speakers, with professional sound performance and a reasonable price ratio. The newest generation of the POPE Professional's powered speaker family, has been adapted to the requirements of musicians and DJs. As a result of its three band equalizers sound set-up, it offers the best possible characteristics of sound reflection for live music as well as playback or speech. The new, more compact multi-functional cabinet creates an ideal connection between acoustic necessity and practical handling.

The POPE Professional's powered speaker offers maximum flexibility and unique features such as a slanted rear side for monitor applications, integrated flange for stands, and 3 integrated M10 threaded flying points.

Together with the FP 115A 1*15” bass speakers that have been specially designed for FP 210A, FP 212A & FP 215A. The cabinet presents a very full and clear bass sound reflection (high sound pressure level) with reduced resonance and little noise. The integrated high frequency driver offers a clear dispersion of 90°x60°. The models FP 206A, FP 208A, FP 210A, FP 212A & FP 215A are equipped with a special compression driver. Because of its pure titanium diaphragm, the sound is clear, linear, and feedback resistant.

Features

Powered speakers (active speakers) are speakers that have built-in amplifiers. They can be connected directly to a mixing console or sound source, without the need for an amplifier. Such speakers are available with passive or active crossovers built into them. Powered speakers avoid the necessity of speaker to amplifier matching and limiting is built in. Another advantage of powered speakers is a reduction in the length of cable between amplifier output and speaker driver (some claim this affects maximum slew rate, the rate of change in audio signals) since cable length is very small in powered speakers. Powered speakers ease set-up issues for an audio system, at least to some extent. However since low-level signal cables have to be run to the speakers from a signal source, noise pick-up can be a problem. This can be reduced (even effectively solved) by incorporating "balanced" line inputs into the speakers. When driven by balanced signals (and cables) from the sound source, noise can be greatly reduced.
